Kibworth dog walkers warned after reports of poisonous carrots

Dog walkers in Kibworth Beauchamp, Leicester, have been warned to remain vigilant after various reports that poisonous carrots were found in Warwick Park.

Kibworth Beauchamp Parish Council has urged dog walkers to be careful and ensure dogs do not eat any carrots or foodstuff they may find. It added: “We have been told that some dogs have had to be taken to the vet.”

The reports, initially made on Facebook groups, mentioned that poisonous carrots were discovered along the hedge lines surrounding the balancing pond in Warwick Park.

The parish council said its grounds person has removed them.
