Grooming salon opens in Ipswich park

A new dog grooming salon has opened in Holywells Park, Ipswich.  

The salon, which can be found in the stable block next to the tearoom, currently opens on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8.30am to 4pm.  

The salon is run by husband-and-wife team Jon Shapcott and Sarah Quinton, who opened nearby Bishops Parlour and Tearooms earlier this year.

Jon told the Ipswich Star: “My wife and I are dog owners and dog walkers ourselves, and we knew just from the local community that there is an absolute need for more professional dog groomers in Ipswich. It just made absolute sense to open one up.  

“We opened last week and have been incredibly busy. We are already almost fully booked until the end of October, and we’re looking to take on another groomer or two.”
