Blackpool dog field gets the go-ahead
A secure dog exercise field in Blackpool, Lancashire, has been given the green light for another three years.
Blackpool Council planners have approved an application for scrub-land off Deerhurst Road, in Anchorsholme, to be used as a secure dog exercise field with a perimeter fence, shelter, and coded access gate. Dog walkers are able to book one-hour slots.
Conditions include a maximum of four dogs per person, with the field accessible to owners during daylight hours in summer and between 8am and 8pm in winter.
The application attracted 80 responses from the public, only nine people objected, raising concerns about the additional traffic that could be generated and how the dogs would be controlled.
