Kent dog trainer gives children lesson in canine caution
Kent-based Best Behaviour School for Dogs is helping teach school children how to safely interact with dogs.
Children at Finberry Primary, in Kent, were shown how to approach dogs and how to read their body language in order to change their behaviour.
Pippa Apps, the online school’s founder, told ITV Meridian: “Last year 1,700 children were admitted to hospital with dog bites. That was an increase from the year before.
“We really want to just be able to show children how to approach dogs, how to read their body language in order to change their behaviour and hopefully stop this increase.”
Best Behaviour School for Dogs is looking to roll out the sessions across Kent.
