Ambleside Dog Walker launches wedding care and chaperone business

The husband and wife team behind Ambleside Dog Walker has launched Dapper Dog Weddings, which specialises in providing premium chaperone and dog care services for weddings across South Cumbria.

Tamsin Rogers and Nigel Oldroyd provide couples with a range of different services. The Platinum service enables the option of the dog being the ring bearer, Best Dog or Dog of Honour and the couple will be on hand throughout the day to make sure the dog happy.

Their Gold service is an option for couples who think their four-legged friend is too excitable to be involved in the actual ceremony. Instead, Dapper Dog Weddings will look after the pet during the day before returning it after the ceremony.

The company also offers diamond dog sitting services on the day and overnight for guests who may be bringing their dogs to the ceremony.

Dapper Dog Weddings also offers elopement and micro wedding packages.

Rogers told Westmorland Gazette: “We decided we needed to set up a separate company to give it the focus and intention it deserves so people can find what they are looking for.

“There is such a big demand for weddings in the Lake District with so many amazing venues.”
