Dog exercise field opens in Martham
A new dog exercise field has opened in Martham, Norfolk.
The Spinney Drive-In Field, at Martham Paw Ground on Grange Farm, has been launched by Lucinda Scott. She opened her first dog exercise park – now called Babblers Walk-In Field – just off the A149 in spring last year.
The new facility can be booked for 45-minute sessions and has activities including jumps, a fenced-off sandpit, and tunnels under a mound.
It also features a shelter, seating, wash down hose, drinking water and bowls, as well as dog waste bins and bags.
Scott told Great Yarmouth Mercury: “Once clients have parked and shut the gate they are within the secure 6ft fenced boundary so they can just let their dogs out of their car and walk straight into the field without the need for leads and with peace of mind that there is no chance of meeting another dog.”
Martham Paw Ground will be offering classes in January in collaboration with Coastal Canines Dog Training Club, including a puppy foundations course of up to 20 weeks, a young dog course of up to one year, and one-on-one behaviour consultations.
