Somerset farmer plans dog walking facility
A Somerset farmer is seeking permission to turn one of his fields into a dedicated dog walking facility.
Apllicant C M H Crossman of Shipway Gate Farm, just outside Portishead, has lodged a change of use application to North Somerset Council to enable him use a field as a space to hire out for dog walking.
If approved, the facility will have deer fencing, coded access, and will let dog walkers book a 50-minute slot to have sole use of the field.
The field, which is currently used for grazing, has bomb damage from the Second World War that has left it too uneven for farm machinery.
