Preston doggy daycare put on the market

K9 Club doggy daycare business in Bamber Bridge, Preston, has been put on the market as founder Mark McMullan plans to retire.

Established in 2019, the business now has a strong base of regular customers, caters for all breeds of dog, and has a five-star rating in animal welfare from DEFRA. The business operates from a fully soundproofed single-storey unit on the Old Mill Industrial Estate and includes an outdoor garden and on-site parking. Indoor facilities include a large agility room, open plan playroom, and two chill-out rooms with dog beds and televisions.

The business, which will continue to operate as normal until a new owner is in place, is currently run by McMullan plus one part-time and two full-time members of staff, who would stay on following any change of ownership. The business is open from 7.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Megan Sutherst, Deal Executive at Blacks Business Brokers, said: “This is a great opportunity for an entrepreneurial dog-lover to take their first step into business ownership. Equally, it could be a great additional project for a local businessperson or investor who wants to diversify.

“Mark has established a superb business over the last nine years but there is still plenty of scope to increase revenues by, for example, introducing a collection and drop-off service, extending the opening hours to provide overnight care or branching out into dog-walking services. I am expecting strong interest now the word is out that K9 Club is on the market.”

The business is on the market for £139,995. All enquiries should be directed to Blacks Business Brokers, quoting reference 8186.
