Plans for Norfolk doggy daycare approved
Plans for a new doggy daycare centre in Hevingham, Norfolk, have been approved despite concerns about “unbearable” noise and increased traffic.
Applicant Paul Benton plans to open Kempton Park Dog Day Care in Church Lane by converting stables into kennels and an indoor exercise area.
The plans were met with complaints from locals who said the business, which would be open to customers from 8am until 6pm on weekdays only, would bring hundreds of additional cars to the area each week.
However, a report to Broadland Council found that noise was not expected to be disruptive provided that no more than 27 dogs were on-site at a time.
The decision comes after similar plans in Blofield Heath were blocked after opponents lodged more than 40 formal objections with the council.
