North Ayrshire dog walker plans to convert barn into doggy daycare

Dog walker Stuart Raybould is seeking planning permission for a new doggy daycare at a Kilbirnie farm, in North Ayrshire.

Raybould, who owns Garnock Valley Dog Walking and Pet Services, plans to convert an unused agricultural building at Mossend Farm into a play area for a doggy daycare business.

Under the plans, only the interior of the barn building will be altered, with no changes planned to the outside.

Raybould said he hopes to build up to around 12 dogs daily for daycare and offer one-hour play sessions in the spaces.

Document submitted as part of the application state that the business will operate from 7am to 7pm on Monday to Friday and from 9am to 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

The application is currently pending consideration.
