Cane Corso at heart of theft investigation found dead
A Cane Corso that was alleged to have been stolen by Manchester dog boarders has been found dead.
Dog owner Redford Robinson said on social media that he has lost contact with the owners of dog kennels City Dog MCR, where he booked his Cane Corso called Diego, on a long-term basis from August 2023 until February 2024, after selling his house and going on a five-week holiday.
Redford had reported the disappearance of Diego to Greater Manchester Police.
Diego has now been found dead in a canal in Manchester.
A force spokesperson told the Daily Mail: ‘”An investigation into theft in Manchester is still ongoing at this stage with no arrests made.”
The Canine Times has contacted City Dog MCR for a comment.
