Kent groomer to open free dog park for XL Bullies

Groomer Gail Robertson has invested £10,000 to create a free dog park for XL Bullies where dogs can play off the lead unmuzzled. 

The one-acre play area in Birchington, Kent, is surrounded by 6ft fencing and will soon have equipment such as a trampoline and enrichment activities Robertson is hoping to also add a shelter with heating and seating for two legged visitors. 

The groomer, who owns The Paw Seasons Spa, already runs a daycare in various fields and has the correct insurance cover in place for XLs. She can offer the service for free by running the dog-sitting in one field for one day of the week.  

Robertson told KentOnline: “It’s somewhere they can just be a dog and have fun. 

“I’m lucky enough that it was set up for this already.” 

The facility will open its doors in February.
