Indoor dog play area opens in South Shields

A new indoor play area for dogs has opened in South Shields, Tyne and Wear, town centre. 

Maverick’s Madhouse features a range of toys for dogs to play with, a ball pit, an agility course, drink-making facilities, and a speaker and disco lights. 

The business is owned by Kate Dinning who also operates her pet supply business Milo and Co on the ground floor of the building in Ocean Road. 

Dinning told The Shield Gazette that she’s had “great feedback” from those that have used the facility.

Maverick’s Madhouse is private hire, prices are £7.50ph Monday-Friday and £10 weekends, the facility will be opening on Sundays from December. 

There currently no specific limit on dogs, but Denning says six would be a good number, so they all have space to run around and use the equipment.
