Firefighters battle to save Shropshire kennels
Firefighters from Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service tackled a fire at family-run Hatton Boarding Kennels near Shifnal, Shropshire, on Tuesday (16 May).
The fire was reported to the fire service just before 5pm and four engines attended the scene, where they said a residential property and adjoining garage were involved in the blaze.
Three people at the scene were found to be suffering from slight smoke inhalation and were assessed by the ambulance service.
The fire was under control at 6.30pm and crews stayed on site for a further inspection at around 10pm.
Images from the scene show the garage roof devastated by the fire and the adjoining roof partially destroyed.
Hatton Boarding Kennels was established in 1990 by Julie and Dennis Woodhouse and is now owned by their son Billy Woodhouse and Alex Morris.
