Dog park set to open in Glencarse

A new secure dog park is set to open in Glencarse in Perth and Kinross, central Scotland, later this year.

Perth and Kinross Council approved David and Louise Gilchrist’s planning application for a dog park, to be located on David’s farm in Panshill, which will feature agility obstacles.

A maximum of six dogs will be able to use the park – which will be open during daylight hours – at any one time. Poo bags will be supplied and there will be extra leads available.

David Gilchrist told The Courier: “I keep the land nice and tidy and cut the grass so I thought I might as well make something out of it.”

He added: “We’ve not got a timescale but it looks like November to January will be the earliest we open.”

Dog walkers will initially have to contact the pair to book an hour-long slot, which is likely to cost around £6 to £10.
