Dog groomer seeks permission to open Derbyshire salon

Groomer Emily Knight plans to open a salon at Edinburgh Court in Wingerworth, Derbyshire.

She is hoping to locate Wingerwoofs in a former vintage and nearly new shop and she is seeking permission for a change of use.

In her application to North East Derbyshire District Council she says the salon’s opening hours would be 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 4pm on Saturday, and there would be around five appointments a day.

Knight said: “Wingerworth is a very dog-friendly village with many people regularly walking their dogs in and around the area, so hopefully there would be a large client base.”

The council’s decision is pending.
