Groomer reopens after car smashes into salon

A dog groomer in Surrey has re-opened for business after a car crashed into the front of the salon on 2 January.

Bubbles Pooch Parlour re-opened after a couple of days, with a temporary wall and door put up.

Police are investigating the accident, which happened on Petworth Road, Godalming.

On a social media post, the owners said: “Everyone part of Bubbles is absolutely devastated but we are so thankful to all the kind messages and the people that came out and helped us today.”

A Surrey Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to Petworth Road in Witley on Monday, January 1 at 6.46am following reports of a vehicle collision and a fire at the location.

“Officers attended and found that a black Lexus had collided with a building at the junction of Mill Lane and subsequently caught fire.”
