Chelmsford Council gives green light for dog swimming pool
Plans for a new swimming pool for dogs in Great Baddow have been approved by Chelmsford Council.
A former boxing club building in Beehive Business Centre, in Beehive Lane, is to be converted into a venue for dogs with a temporary above ground swimming pool to be constructed.
Customers will be able to book appointments of no longer than 30 minutes and some group sessions will be offered with a maximum of up to five dogs.
Brian Reece, who is behind the plans, said he believes the timetable would be around 80% for one-to-one sessions and 20% group sessions, with busier times being outside normal working hours including mornings, early evenings, and weekends.
Chelmsford Council received no objections to the plans and approved them.
