Bridgwater groomer plans to convert fish and chip shop
Groom Central Dog Grooming in Bridgwater, Somerset, has applied to change the use of a former fish and chip shop into a new salon.
Under plans submitted to Somerset Council, the ground floor shop premises at 1 Grenville House, Rhode Lane, would be converted into to a dog grooming salon.
If plans are approved, the premises would retain the existing bench and counter, but install two new work stands to accommodate for two dogs at a time, as well as a new large dog bath over the existing drain at the back of the store, and a toilet.
The applicant has also applied to a vinyl business advertisement sign above the existing security roller-shutter of shop premises.
A public consultation will be open until 26 March and a decision on the application could be made from the following day.
