Edinburgh kennels given green light
Plans for a new dog kennel, with doggy daycare, on the outskirts of Edinburgh have been approved.
Bark n’ Fly, which has been operating for 18 years, submitted plans for a new boarding facility in Newbridge, on agricultural land 200 metres north of Lochend Road.
The kennel building will consist of 26 kennels, two central playpens, a groom room, and multi-use space, according to the plans.
In addition, the kennel building will house a reception, office, toilet and shower, and storage. A timber wall will be built around the premier to minimise noise.
The plans attracted a number of objections from people concerned about the noise and traffic.
