Pencaitland garage set to become grooming salon
Plans to convert a domestic garage in Pencaitland, East Lothian, have been unveiled.
The plans to convert a garage at a family home Lamberton Court have been lodged with East Lothian Council.
The salon would provide services on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, if the plans are approved. The operating hours would be 9am-3pm or 9am-noon when mornings only.
Applicants Phillipa Headley and Tom Harley expect between three and five dogs to be groomed over a full day and up to three in the morning.
They said in the planning statement: “Until recently there were two other dog groomers in Pencaitland. Both have stopped providing dog grooming and there is a demand for a local service.”
The garage would be accessed through double doors and not the existing house.
