North Yorkshire groomer seeks permission for home salon

Pawfect Pooches has applied to North Yorkshire Council for permission to convert a garage on Muncaster Way, Whitby, into a grooming salon.

Groomer Natalie Wittering currently works on a one-to-one basis and is hoping to expand her business.

She said if the conversion is approved, customers would be “informed of instructions to park in the allocated parking space before arrival”.

Wittering added that as “most customers live in the residential area” they usually walk to their appointments and “only additional customers from surrounding areas travel by car”.

The salon would be open Monday to Friday between 9am – 4pm with no weekend or bank holiday working.

The council has yet to make a decision on the plans.
