Carmarthenshire groomer seeks permission to turn garage into salon

Groomer Jade Rees is seeking planning permission to turn a domestic garage on Craig y Lety in Upper Tumble, Carmarthenshire, into a salon.

The plans would see the existing garage door removed, with a new window and single door in its place.

In addition, a parking space would be removed, but this would be compensated by the removal of the front lawn of the property, which would allow for three parking spaces. One of the spaces would be used for customers to drop off and pick up their pet, with the other two remaining for residential use.

If approved, one full-time employee would run the business, which would operate between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
