Suffolk village set to get first grooming salon

Leavenheath, in Suffolk, could soon have its first grooming salon after plans to convert a summerhouse into a salon were received by the district council.

The Stoke Road salon would have space for four cars, with turning space, and would operate Monday to Friday 9am-6pm and Saturday from 9am-2pm.

The plans state there will be one dog groomer operating in the salon at any one time, as that is all the space it can accommodate, meaning there will also be only one dog being groomed at a time, with a maximum of four per day.

The statement says that the “design has been carefully considered to minimise noise disturbance and maintain a professional and friendly appearance”.
