Secure dog park to open in Northumberland
A new secure dog park in Alexandra Park in Cramlington, Northumberland, is due to open on 25 March.
Cramlington Town Council has invested £20,000 in Jubilee Bark, which contains new benches, bins, and a poo-bag dispenser placed inside the fenced-off area.
Councillor Helen Morris, Chairwoman of the Community and Youth Committee, said: “The creation of this area follows a public consultation which demonstrated a clear support for such a facility and we liaised with the County Council’s animal welfare team and local charity Dogs First to identify requirements.”
Pat Heard, from Dogs First, added: “I think this is a super addition to the council’s facilities and I am sure it will be well used by the town’s residents – and their four-legged friends.”
