Plans for East Lothian dog park approved
Plans for a new dog park in field outside North Berwick have been approved despite locals’ concerns.
Castleton Farm, in East Lothian, applied for planning permission to create a secure outdoor facility. The planned park would be fenced in using deer fencing, have a shelter in the open ground, and would be available for people to book in advance for exclusive use.
However, initial plans to provide a car park with 12 spaces concerned North Berwick Community Council who said it would have a negative impact on the views, while objectors feared it would be used by visitors to the farm cafe on the other side of the coastal road.
As a result, the proposal was adjusted to provide a car park for just six cars.
