Plans for dog park in Kent revealed
Plans to create a dog park in the Kent countryside have been submitted to Maidstone council.
Applicant Trevor Heathcote, of FGS Agri, plans to convert a field off Shenley Road, in Headcorn, into two fenced paddocks.
The facility would ensure no more than four dogs would be present in either paddock at any one time.
In addition, a 10-vehicle car park would be created using ‘grasscrete’ or a similar material, to retain the rural appearance, as the site is within an area of Local Landscape Value.
The application suggests the park would be open between 7am and 7pm each day, but only during daylight hours, as no lighting is proposed for the venture.
