Plans for County Durham grooming salon approved
Plans for a new grooming salon in County Durham have been given the green light by the council.
Applicants Mr and Mrs I Mounter plan to convert the garage at 15 Rookery Gardens, Rushyford, into a salon.
During the consultation phase, no objections were raised from the public.
In addition. the Highways department raised no objections, stating that the traffic from the business would not significantly impact local roads or parking.
Environmental Health had some concerns about potential noise, but were satisfied with the proposed measures to restrict the number of dogs and business hours, suggesting soundproofing, and limiting grooming to one dog at a time.
The business will operate from 9am to 5pm, three days a week, catering to three to four dogs per day, strictly by appointment only. No activity will take place on Sundays or bank holidays.
