Plans for Badwell Ash dog park unveiled
Plans for a new secure dog park in Badwell Ash, Suffolk, have been unveiled.
Applicant Stephen Rose is seeking permission for the facility, which is located on land at the back of 1 Hunston Road, Badwell Ash.
The dog park would feature a timber field shelter with a corrugated tin roof.
A planning statement said the site, formerly a World War Two quarry, has been used for walking dogs by the owner, their family and friends and for recreation for the past 20 years.
The statement adds: “With the continuing rapid growth of the village, we have decided to open our private area to the local people and wider community who may wish to walk their dog in a well-maintained, safe, fenced-in environment, which would help them avoid having to walk down overgrown footpaths or running into other dogs.
“The hirer would have the exclusive use of the park during their visit.”
