Pet retailer to open grooming salon in Portobello

Edinburgh pet retailer Dofos Pet Centre is to open a new store with grooming salon in the city.

The retailer, who has three facilities across the city, will move into a recently vacated premises on Portobello High Street.

Co-owner Ross Davidson told the Edinburgh Evening News: “We’ve decided to open in mid-January, as there’s not much going on then. We will have dog grooming and all the natural products sold in our other stores. We are also planning to put in a cafe and give free coffee to everybody who comes in.

“We’re going to do other things like a dog walking club and other bits and bobs. We want to be quite community driven when we come to Portobello.”
