Permission given for Devon dog park

Waggy Trails Dog Park has secured planning permission to convert an agricultural field in Loxbeare, Devon, for secure dog walking and exercising.

The land will be securely enclosed with a 1.8m high deer fence, with a 1.8m high entrance gate, and dog walkers will be able to book time slots to have exclusive use of the field.

A statement with the planning application said: “The users of the secure dog park can enjoy their dog getting suitable exercise in a naturally stimulating environment, listening to natural sounds of birds, insects and wildlife, without the need to travel to a larger outdoor recreational area such as Dartmoor or Exmoor, or coastal areas.”
