Omni launches vegan wet food range
Vegan pet food brand Omni has launched its first meat-like vegan dog food product.
The vet-formulated wet food range has been a year in the making with a patent pending, currently consisting of beef and chicken-style options, supplemented with vegetables.
Each flavour is available as a meal or as a “topper” sachet to be added to a dry meal for extra taste, texture and nutritional value.
The brand’s technology is also being applied to create further meat and fish analogues such as lamb, turkey and salmon in the coming months.
Founder Dr. Guy Sandelowsky said: “Where previous plant-based wet pet foods have been quite mushy and stodgy, Omni’s Complete Dog Food uses proprietary technology to create meaty textures that set the range apart and give dogs the juicy and fibrous mouth feel they crave from their food.
“In just two weeks we have already had superb feedback and the range is flying out of the door.”
He added: “With this range, we can deliver the exact nutrition and enjoyment without any animal agriculture and slaughter.”
Omni wet foods are available from the brand’s website, and are priced at £4.50 for the 400g cans of No Beef Casserole or No Chicken Pot Pie and from £13.99 for eight 100g pouches of No-Beef Bites & No-Chick Chunks.
