North Worcestershire grooming salon allowed to carry on

A dog grooming salon in Stourport-On-Severn, North Worcestershire, has been granted retrospective planning permission.

The salon at 51 The Birches started operating in the home’s garage in March and has now been granted retrospective planning permission.

A report by planning officers at Wyre Forest District Council states: “It is noted that the proposed development for the change of use of part of the garage to a dog grooming salon is retrospective, having commenced on 4 March 2023 and there is no objection from highways on the basis that the site is located at the end of the eastern arm of The Birches which is a cul-de-sac.”

The salon was granted permission to operate between 9.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday and from 10am till 3pm on Saturdays, with a maximum of five dogs on any permitted day of opening and strictly on an appointment-only basis.
