North Lanarkshire could welcome dog park
A new secure dog park could be established near Greengairs, North Lanarkshire, if planning permission is granted.
Westbeach Limited has submitted a planning application for Blacktongue Farm, proposing that former agricultural land be developed with the addition of four fenced-off dog areas and a caravan to be used as the management office.
In addition, the land would be enclosed by 1.8m fences, a car park would be created with a capacity for 12 vehicles, and customers would use an online system to book sessions in advance, with numbers limited to six dogs per field. Equipment would also be available for activities such as agility training.
There will be no flood lighting as use of the facility will be during daylight hours.
