Norfork doggy daycare aims to expand 

Doggy daycare Pooch’s Yard in Thetford, Norfolk, is hoping to expand to a new premises. 

The company has applied to change the use of an industrial unit in Telford Way. The new facility would include a retail space, grooming facility, and outdoor area and it would care for up to 40 dogs. 

Pooch’s Yard already has a site in Telford Way, which looks after about 75 dogs a week. 

There are no plans to change the structure of the new building, although a fence would be erected at the rear of the property to provide an outside area for the dogs. 

Breckland Council officers have recommended that the plans be approved, with councillors to decide next week if it should go ahead. 

However, if approved, the business will have to wait before a noise management plan is put forward before the development can take place.
