Ipswich residents support PSPO extension for three years

Ipswich residents and businesses have shown “overwhelming support” towards an extension to the town’s PSPO for another three years.

Suffolk Constabulary had requested the extension, as the current measures come to an end on 18 November 2023.

Councillor John Cook, Ipswich Borough Council Portfolio Holder for Communities and Sport, said: “Residents and businesses have had a say on the three-year extension to the current Public Spaces Protection Order, and overwhelmingly support this proposal.”

The executive committee is being asked to recommend the extension of the PSPO from 18 November 2023, ahead of final approval by Councillors at a meeting on 15 November 2023.
