Hampshire grooming salon wins award for training school

Able Groomers in Otterbourne, Hampshire, has been named Best Grooming Teaching Provider 2023 by LUXlife Magazine.

The training school and salon, which is owned and managed by Ruth Goddard and Jess Wallace, was launched in 2021.

Groomer Louise Forster told the Hampshire Chronicle: “We’re over the moon. We groom on a consensual basis, allowing dogs to feel more in control and therefore less fearful, building a trustful relationship over time to allow them to enjoy their visits.

“We aim for all our dogs to feel happy and relaxed, looking forward to coming to play and leaving looking gorgeous and smelling clean.”

Able Groomers is fundraising for Eastleigh Guide Dogs and will be offering a £10 wash and blow dry to dogs on 2 April.
