Dog walkers ‘could wear armbands’ after fatal dog attack
Dog walkers could be given armbands to wear when out in Tandridge, Surrey, following the recent fatal dog attack.
Councillor Michael Cooper raised additional measures he thought could be brought in at a meeting of Tandridge District Council.
He said: “Perhaps professional dog walkers could be issued with an armband, which they would be required to wear when out walking a pack of dogs.”
Cooper said residents were “naturally concerned” something similar could happen again and relevant signage needed to be put up to make sure everyone was aware of the regulations when in areas of council land.
Members of Tandridge District Council’s community services committee will be meeting with the area’s MP Claire Coutinho to discuss future steps.
