Dog groomers hold charity event in Powys

Staff from six dog care businesses in Mid Wales have taken part in a dog wash day to raise money for Llanfyllin’s community field.

Woofterz Dog Grooming hosted the dog wash, with all proceeds from the event going to the council’s bid to purchase Cae Bodfach community field that is frequently used by dog owners and walkers, which the town council are hoping to purchase after it was put on sale by its current owner.

Six groomers from Woofterz Dog Grooming were on hand to wash pets between 10am and 4pm, for a £15 wash, and were supported by other local dog care businesses.

Julian Sandy, Woofterz owner, said: “We must have washed 50 or so dogs in the end. We are absolutely knackered…. A massive shout out to Rhian at Pawsome Pet Nanny for doing the teas and coffees, Debbie Noah at Dazzles Academy Dog Grooming Wrexham, Sian at Barks and Bubbles Welshpool, Ceri at Nose to Toes Welshpool, and Gina at Sud Woofer Wrexham.

“We have made such a difference to help save our community field in Llanfyllin.”
