Derbyshire farm plans doggy daycare

Plans for a doggy daycare have been submitted for a farm near Langley Mill, Derbyshire.

Applicant Claire Oldham, for Park Farm in Aldercar Lane, details in the plans that the facility would be set up in an existing agricultural barn in the protected Green Belt.

The facility, which would expand on an existing dog walking field owned by the same applicants, would offer accommodation for up to 20 dogs.

If approved, the facility would run from 7am until 7pm Monday to Saturday and 9am until 5pm on Sundays and bank holidays.

The application details that there would be quiet areas for nervous or elderly dogs, allowing them to rest in peace, each dog would have its own kennel and indoor, and outside exercise area and would be supervised throughout their time at the facility.

A decision will be made by Amber Valley Borough Council in the next few months.
