Cheshire grooming salon marks anniversary
Weston Pet Supplies and Dog Grooming, in Cheshire, is celebrating its 10th anniversary under its current owner.
Maria Whalley took over the shop, which has been trading as a pet shop for 100 years, in 2013.
Whalley introduced dog grooming into the shop when she took over and currently has two dog groomers working for her.
To celebrate her 10th anniversary, the store held a raffle, with all proceeds going to four local animal charities. It also held a cake sale, for humans and dogs, to raise more funds for the charities.
Whalley told the Wirral Globe: “I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone for supporting an independent business and for helping the business to keep going, especially through lockdown.
“Thank you to all the customers who supported the business even 100 years ago, because if they didn’t support it, I wouldn’t have the business now.”
