Brixton women-owned doggy daycare expands to Peckham

Paws & Pause, the Brixton women-owned social enterprise offering doggy daycare services, has expanded to Peckham.

Founded in 2019, Paws & Pause provides employment training programmes for individuals recovering from substance addiction and mental ill health, allowing them to develop confidence and skills needed to re-enter the workforce.

The company said: “85% of the individuals who have completed the programme have gone on to employment, education and self-employment. With the new site open, they will be able to triple the number of people they work with annually.

“Simultaneously, residents will have the chance to benefit from the licensed dog daycare service, which has helped facilitate workers’ return to the office since Covid-19. Enrichment, play, and rest are carefully balanced to ensure each dog receives the love and attention they deserve by dedicated staff who get to know each dog through a personalised approach.”
