Bolton trainer plans new facility
Dog trainer David Clapham had submitted plans for a new 1.6-acre dog training area in Lostock in Bolton, Greater Manchester.
Under the plans, a field to the north-west of Chew Moor Lane would be used for dog training and agility work.
If approved, 6ft fencing in galvanised steel will be installed around the boundary. There is no lighting aspect to the development as the training would only go ahead in daylight hours.
The planning application said: “The proposed development is small scale and unobtrusive in nature and will not impact upon the character and appearance of the countryside.
“There are no structures proposed on the site, with only dog agility equipment being located on the site.
“There is no nearby sensitive development that might be affected by noise or disturbance arising from the use, which in any event would be minimal as the applicant only undertakes one-on-one dog training with only one dog and one owner present at any time.”
