Blue Cross celebrates 125 years

Pet charity Blue Cross is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year launching a new campaign to to raise money for pets in need.

Founded in 1897 by a group of animal lovers to care for working horses on the streets of London, Blue Cross has so far helped 4,875,000 pets.

The 3,125 Sit-ups in February Challenge aims to raise funds to help sick, injured and homeless pets by inviting people to do the sit-ups throughout the month of February.

To participate, you can join the 3,125 Sit-ups in February Facebook group where you’ll find information on how to register for your free challenge t-shirt and set up your Facebook fundraiser as well as share photos and updates of your progress.

Non-Facebook users can also fundraise by creating a JustGiving page and asking friends and family to sponsor the challenge.
