Community dog grooming facility set to open in Hereford
Self-service dog wash firm Lucky Mutt is partnering with Herefordshire Council to establish a dog grooming facility at Widemarsh Common, Hereford.
Lucky Mutt specialises in providing dog grooming services through community-focused facilities. Working in partnership with local councils and businesses, Lucky Mutt aims to transform disused public spaces into vibrant hubs for dog owners, while promoting sustainability and supporting the local economy.
The facility, which is due to open early next year, will transform the former public toilets on Widemarsh Common into a space for dog owners to freshen up their pets in a self-service wash facility, alongside professional dog grooming services.
The fully-equipped grooming facility will be available for short-term bookings by local pet grooming professionals to support their customers’ needs.
Cian O’Sullivan, Founder of Lucky Mutt, said: “This initiative is not just about providing high-quality dog grooming services, but about breathing new life into underutilised spaces, enhancing the local area, and delivering a community-focused service that makes a difference.”
Councillor Harry Bramer, Cabinet Member Community Services and Assets, added: “This facility will transform a currently disused public space, providing a service for the community that will benefit residents and visitors.”
