Harringtons tackles the rising cost of living
Harringtons has launched a new range, which it says acknowledges the current rising cost of living and dog owners’ desire to give their animals proper nutrition.
Advanced Science Diet has been developed in partnership with Peter Wright from the Yorkshire Vet. It provides recipes tailored for different breed sizes and has added Vitaguard, a proprietary mix of pre- and pro-biotics, vitamins and minerals to support digestion and immunity.
The range also has Omega 3 and 6 oils, from salmon oil and chicken fat, for healthy and shiny skin and coats.
The medium & large breed recipes also include Glucosamine and Chondroitin to aid mobility by supporting cartilage development and blocking certain enzymes from damaging existing cartilage, while supporting joint fluid to help with lubrication.
In addition, Advanced Science Diet has the probiotic Bacillus subtilis C-3102 added, which promotes beneficial bacteria in the gut.
Sarah McNamara, Pet Nutritionist at Inspired Pet Nutrition, said: “We know people care greatly for their pets in UK and want to make sure they are providing them with the best possible diet, and doing so shouldn’t have to cost a fortune. With the cost of living on the rise, we wanted to ensure that providing your pets with the best nutrition wasn’t going to be something damaging to households across the UK. Feeding your pets isn’t a choice, it’s a must.
“It’s a range that we’re proud of and a lot of research and hard work has gone into creating it, it is really flexible and made to fit every breed, size and age of dog targeting the inside and out, from gut to coat. With Advanced Science Diet, we think we have created something that provides consumers with an affordable solution for high quality nutrition for their pets throughout their entire life.
“The best part, it is made by the UKs 1st carbon negative pet food manufacturer using lightweight, low carbon recyclable packaging. So not only will your dog feel good, but you will feel good about it too.”
Harringtons New Advanced Science Diet range is available in three recipes tailored to specific breed sizes (small breed, medium breed and large breed) and comes in a chicken and gravy flavour, with an recommended retail price of £7.50 for a 2kg bag.
