Yarrah Organic Petfood aims to grow in the UK

Dutch organic pet food brand Yarrah has set up a UK subsidiary in the Cotswolds, to drive distribution in the British market.

The company has developed a wide range of pet food, including plant-based recipes for dogs, and virtually all its packaging is recyclable. It believes there is a significant opportunity to appeal to UK customers.

Chief Executive, Bas van Tongeren, said: “The organic category in the UK is now worth over ₤3bn and has grown each year since 2008. British people are more than ever concerned about health and quality food and this naturally extends to their pet.”

He added: “We see great potential in Britain following significant growth in our accounts here, and interest to stock our brand. Yarrah UK is an exciting milestone for us in our 30th year.”
