South Wales dog park to add boarding service

Secure dog park Cwtch Animal Homestay in Cwmbran, south Wales, is adding dog boarding to its offer after being awarded planning permission.

The company’s plans include constructing a smaller building on site to be used as kennels and an 82sq m indoor play area for the dogs.

The plans received one objection over concerns about noise from barking dogs and extra traffic.

However, a council report says that the noise is not an issue because of the distance between the dog hotel and the nearest houses.

The new facility will have space for 30 dogs from 12 households.
