Dog controls could be coming to Corby
Powers to prevent dog walkers from allowing pets to behave anti-socially are set to be introduced in Corby, Northamptonshire, later this year.
Under the new Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs), dog walkers could be fined £100 for not picking up dogs and not keeping them on a lead in areas where they are told to.
The proposed PSPO will be presented to North Northamptonshire Council’s executive in June and a six-week consultation on a potential rollout in Corby will take place.
It is proposed that the executive then signs off on the final plan in November.
