Norfolk farmer gets green light for dog park
A Norfolk farmer has been given planning permission to turn a field at Tuttington, near Aylsham, into a dog park.
In a design and access statement, applicant Kit Papworth said the field at Lower Farm, off Beck Lane, would be available for use seven days a week, all year.
Papworth said dog walkers would be able to book 25- or 55-minute slots online, with a limit of four dogs for a single booking and eight for a group.
The facility will open from 8am – 4pm during the winter months and 6am – 9pm in the summer.
A planning officer’s report said: “The proposal will provide a facility for local people and is a new business that is of a scale to suit its location and surroundings.
“For these reasons it is considered that the principle of the proposal is acceptable.”
